Keep in mind that the gameplay demo is in the literal 1st stage of the game with over leveled characters - of course it'll look simple. As for release date - it should be within 2023 for the CN version, and the EN version's localization is in the works.

One thing I adore about Girls' Frontline is the music and general graphic asthetic, the music in this one is fantastic! The unit designs are really lovely too, you can tell there's been a lot of love and attention to detail with all the girl's attire and equipment.

I don't play GF but I do play Project Neural Cloud, and I 100% agree, Mica's design, UI, etc are all top fucking shelf.

Wish shooting animations were more badass akin to xcom 2 but not really an issue since the detail on each tdoll model it's incredible and most of us would probably skip animations while auto farming

Well, it definitely needs some optimisation... But overall, I would say this one is the only game that I'd like to play even in 20 fps, patiently waiting for optimisation with further patches.

@@timthirsty3816 reminder that Neural Cloud is considered as one of the most optimized gacha games on mobile. GFL was scuffed af because it was being built upon old spaghetti code from 2016, when MICA was still a small dev team with little experience. I don't worry too much about GFL2

Но загадывать не будем, Хонкай вот тоже недели 2 назад вышел, и все было шикарно, пока игроки не столкнулись с автолевелингом арагов, тупым рандомом в боях, банальное занижением характеристик персонажей, и ввкручивания генератора случайных показателей в пользу противника. 😢 Надеюсь разработчики этой игры, хотя бы не будут использовать автолевелинг противников ибо всякое желание играть отпадает сразу!

Tried to get into the original Girl's Frontline, but never liked the UI and Gameplay so I soon quit afterwards. This new XCOM-esque game , on the other hand, looks pretty fun to play.

Do you need to play GFL one first to know the story?

GFL2 is a continuation of the GFL1 story which is pretty long, so playing the game would make it easier to understand what's going on, though there are other ways to get the story aside from playing it. People tend to call the game a PTSD simulator.

Upgrade(mod) the AR Platoon first if you have the resources. 3. Build the low rarity t dolls first if you want to save on cores by dummy linking them with dupes 4. Clear the stages as fast as possible or until you unlock 0-2. 5. Do not forget to use the combat sim energy. 6. Level up the t dolls that youtubers use, if you want to progress in the game. Otherwise, you won't get anywhere. The game mechanics in this game is really well made. All the t dolls with their quirky skills have really niche uses which is really relevant in major events. This is why the game mechanics of this game is one of the best thing about this game. 7. Level up the fairies especially parachute and taunt. 8. Produce at least 2 fairies on a daily basis. It should be doable if you don't mess up. 9. Do not use ur combat sim energy on Enhancement pills(?) Or combat exp. 10. Play as much as you can when the combat exp boost drops to level up ur t dolls faster. 11. Read the story. 12. Play the lufberry chess (not mandatory) Thats about all and please play the current and upcoming games made by mica. They are all good.

i think they should implemented front mission mechanics like having an healer, radar, jammer, backpack, jetpack for boosting movement tiles, and etc.. if enemy behind other enemy/friendly unit the gun fire and be blocked by our friend unit/enemy infront of target unit, they should add % hit rate and missed shots so the game will not boring and have some RNG battles. IMO.. if anyone have same opinion od maybe against my idea feel free to comment below..

Yeah I think this is definitely it for me and GFL. With Star Rail and Blue Archive (among others) I feel that the muted colors and the "realistic" feel of the models really bring the game down. The weapon customization and the fact that the girls can seemingly just equip anything kind of breaks what little consistency this game had with its roots, being a gun waifu collector. The rarity on the guns leads me to believe that there's going to be a separate gacha for weapon and character. Star Rail does this and honestly it's a mixed bag. Being a weapon I feel like it'll have too much impact on gameplay which is worrying. There's also nothing preventing them introducing an accessory gacha on top. What makes Xcom fun is the tension, the knowledge that your units can die very quickly even when completely kitted out along with the research and team management. this being a gacha game, you're not gonna permanently lose your favorite squadmate so the game'll be closer to a range focused tactics rpg than anything as you're not managing tech and threat levels. I've played Langrisser M and Fire Emblem Heroes long enough that I don't want to revisit something similar. I jumped off the fan train back when YZ's interview got translated where he paraded himself as a beacon of integrity in the industry all the while doing everything he was saying he wasn't doing like put character gacha on GFL or staying completely independent, guess the smell of TenCent money was enough to make him drop his pants and bend over. Was looking forward to give the series another chance with PNC considering my favorite character was a prominent starter in that game but nope, it's a generic autobattler with roguelike elements. The numbers show on how much people are riding that wave. Now Exilium is dropping gameplay and it's just a mess. We traded rise of the machine for warhammer scav enemies and mutants. It just isn't doing it for me, and I'm not horny enough that being able to mess with the models on the back end is a good enough selling point. Would've been a great time to show some more gameplay, non curated story maps for example, so we could see what the characters do beyond generic shooting and using items.

It isn't just two games, if you've read my comment you'd notice I said "among others", there's a reason why brighter colors work and it's not just the palette, the plastic feel of the "realistic" model is uncanny. GFL1 isn't nearly as saturated as GFL2 is and I honestly doubt that the devs want to make their characters seem uncanny, especially not when it's what sells the game in the first place. It's going to feature character gacha for sure, and the guns seem to have a rarity system which somewhat leads people to believe they are also going to have a gacha system. Not only that but the gun attachments may also get a gacha system even if they drop on the metal gear maps. It's all speculation but if the game gets 3 gacha banners then hot damn man please no. Remember we still don't know how the character gacha works and in earlier versions, the characters were split in different costumes, add to that the possibility of two more gacha systems. And what's your excuse? "oh yeah it should be like that", are you mental? Even Ceia in the anniv stream was expressing worry at there maybe being a weapon gacha, where were you mr. GFLsimp to defend that then? And just to top it off, other games also have high production values, not just YZ's pet project. Star Rail is filled with MoCap, so is BA, that one even has quite a few anime trailers. Get off your high horse.

The gritty color palette is a stylistic choice. With GFL2's setting, I personally feel that it suits it more than the rainbow pastel colors like that of Blue Archive or whatever Genshin has. Think of it like in Arknights. The Rarity of the Guns doesn't really indicate that the weapons will be gacha dependent. Nothing is confirmed yet until CBT3 is initiated. CBT2 had this whole schtick about having a Genshin-like gacha and there was a massive backlash on that, so I personally think that they've removed it in favor of making it accessible/farmable through its Tarkov-mode. Granted I've never played XCOM so I have absolutely no clue nor could relate to what you feel in that particular regard, but I feel like this wouldn't be an issue for the most part because your particular reasoning on what makes it fun feels specific to your experience on the game, not what many would feel in general. Besides, more gameplay and its features will be explored through CBT3, so I feel like it's particularly unfair to make a conclusion based on clips presented from that stream.
